Diving in Ceuta

Where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean come together, that’s where the diversity and richness of its seabed is unique, that’s where you have to go … Ceuta is this place.

Ceuta lies on the North African side of the Strait of Gibraltar, on the Mediterranean Sea.
In Ceuta you definitely you have visit the royal city walls and the Mediterranean Sea Park. You can kayak, take a boat trip in the city, fish or do some turtle, dolphin and whale watching. However, most people visit this coast for diving because here the Atlantic and the Mediterranean come together creating a continuous renewel in the marine flora and fauna.
From my home port Estepona it is approximately 5 to 7 hours sailing to Ceuta. If we leave early there will be more than enough time to dive in the afternoon on this beautiful rocky coast.

I have chosen a diving school that can offer a wide range of activities. For example you can do something that they call a Rock-Water activity. You go in the water in the bay on the south side of Ceuta ( Desnarigado Castle ) with a wetsuit and water shoes and you will see the most beautiful caves and hidden corners that this peninsula has to offer. This activity is 30, – Euro per person.

If you would rather not go in to the water, you can do the same thing, but in kayak. Cost per person 40, – Euro

diving:

In the programm we have two options, an introductory diving course and one for people with a diving license.

The introduction is a short course consisting of two dives (one in the afternoon and one in the course of the next morning). You will in this course supervised by two instructors at your first ‘steps’ in the beautiful underwater world of Ceuta. You will learn the basics of diving in a relatively short time, you do not get a diving license.

For those who have a diving license we can organise two dives as well.

For the two options applies: ideally for 4 people and cost 100, – Euro per person all inclusive.

My planning is based on a trip of two days with 4 people, including breakfast / lunch, overnight stay on board (bed linen), harbor fees, diesel. 1000,- Euro not including activities and dinner.
